PlotBox Launch in Australia with Major Cemetery in Large Scale Digital Transformation Project

PlotBox is excited to announce they have partnered with Rookwood General Cemetery in Sydney to enable the transformation of all cemetery operations to digital means.

Established in 1867, Rookwood Cemetery has become the final resting place for over one million people.  Today the historic site covers an expanse of 780 acres and offers over 130 culturally specific and non-denominational grounds, making it the oldest, largest and most multicultural Victorian cemetery in the world.

Headquartered in Ireland and with offices throughout the United States, PlotBox is the leading cloud based cemetery management solution that facilitates cemeteries in operating to world class standards.

Today Rookwood General Cemetery is at the forefront of the revolution that is seeing many of the world's most progressive and ambitious cemeteries modernise operations. Multiple software solutions and data sources will be streamlined into the single comprehensive PlotBox platform, where for the first time, all cemetery operations will be managed from the one system.

Amongst others, cemetery records, memorial management, scheduling, CRM, and a host of advanced finance tools will run from a single application, which will be accessible from anywhere in the world. What's more, PlotBox’s mapping capability links all cemetery records, financial transactions and communications with families to a specific plot location, which will enable users to find, access and report on information faster than ever before.

George Simpson, CEO at Rookwood General Cemetery confirmed “we have partnered with PlotBox to implement a cemetery-wide information management system to integrate existing systems, enable departments to share resources and provide access to real-time information.

Our information management needs are extremely complex and we have selected PlotBox for their global expertise in the area of cemetery management and mapping”.

Sean McAllister, CEO at PlotBox says “we couldn’t be more pleased to have the executive team at Rookwood General Cemetery  believe in our product, team and vision for cemetery management and are super excited to be working with them!

Our goal is to enable our clients to spend more quality time with the families they serve, by reducing unnecessary and time consuming tasks which add stress to an already difficult time...and as such are pleased to see the team at Rookwood start to realise that vision.”

Rookwood General Cemetery and PlotBox have initiated the implementation process and look forward to bringing you news of that process in the future.
